1) Name the setup (10 seconds)
Pick one—your rules depend on the label:
- Range (buy lower box, sell upper)
- Trend pullback (buy support on confirmation)
- Breakout–retest (enter after reclaim + hold)
- Event window (72h around macro/protocol events → size down)
If you can’t label it, you can’t manage it. Wait.
2) Fix the risk envelope (20 seconds)
- Per-trade risk: ≤ 1–2% of equity
- Stop: structure break or −8% (placed at entry, never widened)
- Max concurrent positions: 1–2

3) Turn the idea into numbers (2 minutes)

4) Route for less friction (30 seconds)

5) Green-Yellow-Red execution (1 minute)
- Green (enter): Setup valid, depth OK, no major event in 48–72h → enter per plan.
- Yellow (caution): Funding extreme / event near → half size or wait.
- Red (skip): Structure messy or slippage high → stand down.
In-trade rules
- Add/trim only at planned levels.
- Hit T1 → sell back 100% principal.
- Hit T2 → trim 30–35%.
- Hit T3 → trail stop.
- Break structure → exit (don’t move the stop).
6) Post-trade score (30 seconds)
Tick 0/1 for each:
- Stayed within risk cap
- Entered only on the written trigger
- Executed T1/T2/T3 as planned
- Honored stop without widening
- Logged numbers (price, fees, PnL)
≤3/5? Cut size next trade. 4–5/5? Keep size; tweak just one variable (targets, DCA cadence, or venue).
